Lawrence (Larry) A. Cerrillo, M.S.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
A professional mediator since 1998, he brings a unique scientific perspective to the table.  During his geologic consulting years, Larry developed his mediation/facilitation skills while serving as a project and office manager for groundwater and environmental firms.  On both national and international projects he deals effectively with multi-discipline, multi-cultural personnel, clients, and government entities. He continues to consult on ground-water/environmental projects which he’s done successfully since 1970. 

MEDIATION  TRAINING
Larry has over 230 hours of training in various aspects of Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR). His initial 40 hour training was in environmental and public policy dispute resolution. Since then, he has received training in Advanced Land Dispute mediation. He has also received a certificate of advanced study in ADR from University College, Denver University.

MEDIATION EXPERIENCE
In addition to over 380 hours of volunteer mediation and facilitation with the Jefferson County, CO mediation program, Larry has mediated/facilitated/arbitrated water-land disputes, and an oil/gas company dispute with ranchers and homeowners.

STYLE OF MEDIATION/FACILITATION
Larry employs a transformative style that encourages open dialogue and innovative brainstorming to work toward a collaborative problem-solving agreement.

EDUCATION
Mr. Cerrillo has a BS and MS in geology/hydrogeology in addition to numerous post graduate trainings related to water and the environment.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
